Structure of the Aptitude Test
1. Common aptitude tests will be conducted for admission in classes 9th and 11th. The Test will be based on the syllabus of classes 8th and 10th respectively. Tests will be conducted in bilingual i.e. English and Punjabi medium.
2. Format of the test –
** There will be 150 questions for the class IX and XI aptitude tests.
** Each question will have 1 mark.
** The aptitude test duration will be 3 (three) hours.
Selection Criterion of Admission Entrance Exam
a. Once the aptitude tests are evaluated, class-wise and category-wise merit lists of students will be released on the website for each of the SoE.
b. For class 11th, the students will be allotted their preferred streams based on their merit in the respective section in the aptitude test.
c. The allotment of seats for students in class 11th for their preferred streams will be based on the marks scored in the specified section in the aptitude test.
What is School of Eminence Admission Entrance Exam?
** The Government of Punjab has launched the program of Schools of Eminence to transform Government schools into centers of excellent education. These schools with world-grade infrastructure aim to provide holistic education to students of Class 9th to 12th.
** Admission to 9th and 11th classes in Schools of Eminence for quality education will take place through a combined aptitude test and merit-based centralized admission process to be undertaken by the SCERT, Punjab.
